Sam will be the first to tell you that he isn't super "comfortable" when it comes to infants. In January it was time to say good-bye to the RAV4. I LOVED my RAV, but with our newest edition, there just wasn't enough room for all of us. SO.... we found the "Mama Bus". So Christmas was pretty low key at the Hoopes house this year. Eli was just 17 days old, so traveling to Dallas was out of the question. So, I went in for my 38 week checkup on Dec 2nd. I was dilated to a 1, which doesn't really mean anything. The place that my mom gets her dog groomed also doubles as a full on animal farm. They have horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goat, and even some llamas. We took Micah there a few weeks before Christmas and they were in the mist of getting it decorated for the holidays. Part of the reason that I have been able to survive motherhood so far is due to my wonderful mommy friends and going regular playdates. Every year around the beginning of fall you can find some really great pumpkin patches in the area. We found a couple that we just had to visit. I love the mix of the bright orange and green. It was still about 89 degress, but that's fall in Texas... As you can see by the pictures, she isn't the easiest model to work with, but she had a great time exploring her first pumpkin patch.

No doubt about it, I have a serious fruit lover on my hands! Micah is just nutty for fruit~ grapes, peaches, kiwi, banana's, oranges, even lemons and limes... Sometime it's all I can get her to eat!! January brought two major events for Sam and I. Sam turned 35 on the 14th of Jan. and I turned 33 on the 31st. Micah turned 4 months in January so it was time to start her on some fruits and veggies! It took her a little while to transition from straight formula to rice and oatmeal, but once she realized that we weren't trying to kill her she adjusted fine. I figured that she would do even better with the fruits and veggies since she was used to "solids" now. Boy howdy-- did she LOVE it!!! Eat 'em up Yum!
