San Antonio Trip

Sam's sister, Amy, lives in San Antonio so we decided to take a long weekend and head over for some "end of the summer" fun! We had a great time swimming, grilling out, and spending time with the family.


Amy took us all to a really great place called Emerald Rainbow. It's a big fun house of sorts with lots of bouncers, climbing walls, batting cage, bowling alley... even a nail salon!! Be sure to check it out if you are ever in the area!

Palm Beach

There's a great place inside Moody Gardens in Galveston called Palm Beach. It's like a little water park with an enclosed beach, sandy hills, lounge chairs, water slide, and a PERFECT little place for the little ones that can't yet swim.

Micah turns 2!!!!

What was originally going to be a toned down version of her 1st birthday, in the end became a full on P-A-R-T-Y! She's made so many wonderful friends this year and I wanted them all to be there. Hey, you only turn 2 once, right. We ended up having about 35 kids and about 40 adults!! We had two bounce houses, hot dogs, pizza, and sweets galore! She had a BLAST! Thanks SO much to Michele, Mimi and Papa... it wouldn't have happened without you! I have officially been put on party restrictions for next year.

6 Months in Photos

YIKES! Sam will be the first to tell you that he isn't super "comfortable" when it comes to infants. So, as Micah has gotten older it's been so amazing to see the wonderful bond that has developed between the two of them. She just lights up whenever he walks into the room and he is, by far, her favorite "toy".

Both Sam and I have birthday's in January. I turned 34 this year and Sam turned 36. No big celebrations, just kinda low key. I made dinner and a cake for Sam's birthday and we went out for sushi for mine, but we did both get what we asked for.
